Hello, my name is Antonia Covacevich and I study at The British School in Punta Arenas, Chile. I’m 16 years old and am the oldest of four siblings. I’ve always been attracted to sciences, my favorite subjects are Physics and Maths and I find fascinating the possibility of applying the knowledge that I acquire in class to solve problems in real life. I’m a dedicated student, thus, I get great results at school, but I also enjoy developing extracurricular activities like artistic gymnastics, which I’ve practiced since I was very young. I’m part of the Alumni center as well, where I’ve learned so much about teamwork, organization and project development, as all the members work together to make our school a comfortable space for everyone. I also love traveling, skiing, doing crafts and spending time with my friends and family. 

Since I was taught about space in primary  school I’ve developed a deep interest in astronomy and aeronautics. I’ve done different school projects regarding this theme, connecting it with Arts, Design and even Spanish. My dream is to work in something related to space as an adult, that’s why from the first moment that I heard of this opportunity I got super excited and put all my efforts into creating a good project, as I always do when I want to achieve my goals. I never thought that this kind of program would reach my region, which is basically the last area of the continent, near Antarctica. My wish is that through this experience I’ll inspire others in my community, demonstrating that you can achieve your dreams if you work hard.
